The sudden uprising of the Huawei company which beat Apple in total grossing setting out a 7 year constant either Apple or Samsung market of 1st and 2nd. Now the company sets out to release it's new chipset series the 'Kirin 980' processor suceeding the 'Kirin 970'. Huawei’s next generation flagship chipset Kirin 980 seems all set for a debut at IFA(Internatoinale Funkausstellung) 2018. It will be the first 7nm SoC ever to launch in the market. The current leaks show:-

According to the benchmark screenshots, the Kirin 980 will be an octa-core CPU with four cores of Cortex-A77(The ARM Cortex-A is a group of 32-bit and 64-bit RISC ARM processor cores licensed by Arm Holdings. The cores are intended for application use.), and four cores of Cortex-A55 configuration. The A77 cores are seen to be clocked at 2.8 GHz, while the clock speeds of the Cortex-A55 cores are unknown. This is in line with the previous leak, where it was reported to feature the maximum clock speed for the module at 2.8GHz for the four powerful Cortex-A77 cores.
Further, the RAM is listed as LPDDR4X, and Mali-G72 MP24 as the GPU. The GPU is said to be 1.5 times faster than the Adreno 630 GPU. Qualcomm uses the Adreno 630 GPU with its top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 SoC.
The benchmark specs sheet also mentions a second-generation NPU. It is said to deliver AI-driven features like the Qualcomm 845 on chip. It is assumed to also support triple ISP(image signal processing) to make image processing paster.
Huawei has already sent out media invites for its IFA 2018keynote. The event has been scheduled for August 31 in Berlin, Germany
